Learn Hebrew – Lessons

Group Lessons(GL) versus Private Lessons(PL)

Choosing the way to learn Hebrew gives some students a real dilemma.
No one wants to learn with tears, frustrations and anger. for some students learning with group is disaster. These are the student’s reaction about participating in group sessions:

“This is Michael.... from your class today.
I am not sure if this class is for me. I understand and speak basic Hebrew but don't know how to read and write.
Do you think that I should continue in?
This class or see if there is another class that would be better?”

Shalom,
Thanks for the quick response.
I will take your advice and stay with this group. I do need to know how to read and translate as well as write in the Hebrew language.
I'm only sorry that some in our group are not able to utilize their computers at the level they need to move the class along at a faster pace.
Again, thank you for your response.
David

I really enjoyed the lesson, thank you.
I will be in New York this weekend so I don't think I will be able to make the lesson. I'm really sorry - is there any way I can catch up so I'm not way behind everyone for the week after please?

Short understanding:

  • Learn Hebrew in GL only if you are positively sure that the time is good for you- you do not want to miss classes
  • take Gl only if you and your friends share the same level
  • take Gl only if you feel comfortable in with others questions

Learn Hebrew in PL to control your lessons, because you are fast learner, for example:

“Apart from what we have been doing in the lesson I have now arrived at lesson 18 by myself and think that I can finish this course in the two week break”.

Take Pl or GL is not about your teacher skills are more about your motivation to control the process or your ability to be in classes with five more students.
Your teacher needs to control the class learning so that her/his student s will enjoy learning.
